HPT Most of the time there are no symptoms of hypertension, unless a patient visit their health care providers. Hence, people easily develop kidney and heart diseases without knowing they have a high blood pressure. CAUSES OF HYPERTENSION. Primary cause of hypertension (when there no specific cause)

  • The older you get the higher the chances.
  • Family –history of high blood pressure
  • High intake of salt in the food
  • Lack of exercise
  • Being overweight
  • Smoking
  • Drinking large amount of alcohol
  • Stress

Secondary causes of hypertension (there is an underlying causes)

  • Kidney diseases
  • Diabetes
  • Narrowing of blood vessels
  • 0ral contraceptives pills
  • Pregnancy
  • Hormonal changes

HYPERTENSION This is the force against the walls of the blood arteries. Blood pressure is recorded in two numbers.
